PANALO NG GILAS PILIPINAS LABAN SA WORLD NO. 6 NA LATVIA, PINURI NI SPEAKER ROMUALDEZ

Pinuri ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez ang Gilas Pilipinas sa score na 89-80 na panalo nito kontra Latvia, na pang anim sa world basketball ranking, sa ginanap na 2024 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, kagabi, Huwebes ng gabi.

Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na ipinakita ng Gilas Pilipinas ang kanilang hindi natitinag na diwa na katawanin ang Pilipinas sa prestihiyosong kompetisyon.

Animnapu’t apat nang taon na ang Pilipinas at hindi naka-panalo laban sa mga kuponan sa Europa.

Pinangunahan ni coach Tim Cone ang Gilas Pilipinas sa laban sa ginanap sa Arena Riga.

Ayon kay speaker Romualdez, hindi lamang ito simpleng panalo sa scoreboard, kundi isang panalo para sa puso ng bawat atletang nangangarap na irepresent ang Pilipinas sa pandaigdigang kompetisyon.

Ayon pa kay Speaker Romualdez, ipinakita ng panalo ng Gilas ang katatagan ng bawat manlalaro sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Coach Cone.
