Speaker Romualdez nakiramay sa nasawing sundalo sa Batangas clash

Nagpa-abot ng pakikiramay si Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa pamilya ng sundalong nasawi sa isang sagupaan sa pagitan ng mga tauhan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) at mga rebeldeng komunista sa Batangas.

“I extend my deepest sympathies to the family of our soldier who bravely gave his life in the line of duty in Balayan, Batangas,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na ang pagkasawi ng sundalo ay isang paala-ala sa kanilang sakripisyo para mapanatili ang seguridad ng bansa.

“We also keep in our thoughts those who were wounded in this incident, and we join the Executive Department in assuring their families of the government's full support during this difficult time,” sabi ng lider ng Kamara na may mahigit 300 miyembro.

Ayon kay Speaker Romualdez ang insidenteng ito ay nagpapakita rin umano ng mga hamon sa pagkakaroon ng kapayapaan at katatagan ang bansa.

“In this light, I earnestly appeal to the insurgents to consider the broader implications of their actions on our country and its people. I urge them to abandon the path of violence and to rejoin the fold of the law,” wika pa ni Speaker Romualdez.

Tiniyak naman ni Speaker Romualdez na tutulong ang gobyerno para magkaroon ng isang mapayapang pagbabalik sa lipunan ng mga pipili ng landas na ito.

“Our vision for a peaceful and prosperous Philippines can only be realized through collective efforts and a commitment to dialogue and understanding. Let us all work towards building a nation where every citizen can live in peace and pursue their aspirations without fear,” dagdag pa ng lider ng Kamara. (END)
