Paiimbestigahan ng Kamara ang isiniwalat ni PDEA Director General Moro Virgilio Lazo na mayroong mga asset o impormante na humihingi ng bahagi ng droga na masasabat sa operasyon kapalit ng kanilang ‘tip’

Sa pagtalakay ng House Committee on Dangerous Drugs sa House Bill 7094 o panukala para sa agarang pagsira ng mga makukumpiskang droga, sinabi ng opisyal na may mga impormante na hinihinging kabayaran sa kanilang ‘trabaho’ ay 30% ng kabuuang masasabat na droga sa opersyon.

“There were agents offering to give us, ang term nila sir ‘trabaho’. So I personally sat with some of them. Ang sistema sir, I do not have to spend anything. They will do all the work but they are asking 30% of the actual seizures as their payment. So I outrightly told them that as far as my administration is concerned, we are only to give them the monetary value through our reward system.” Ani Lazo.

Dahil dito, nagdesisyon si Surigao del Norte Rep. Robert Ace Barbers na magkasa ng motu proprio inquiry patungkol sa ibinunyag ni Lazo.

“Yung 30% na scheme, na commission ng mga assets no, I guess it would require an inquiry, motu proprio, by this committee. To investigate and to validate all these information shared with the chair and with the members of the committee…napaka serious na allegation kasi nga di matapos-tapso siguro yung recycling it’s because the assets who give information to arrest druglords and sellers are being rewarded not of monetary value but of items that are seized or apprehended…so now assets will sell it back to the streets.” diin ni Barbers.

Kasama rin sa iimbestigahan ang nangyayaring “recycling” ng droga kung saan nagtatabi ng bahagi nakumpiskang droga na siyang ibebenta muli.

Aminado ang mga opisyal ng PDEA at ng PNP na posibleng nangyayari ang ‘recycling’ ngunit bago pa ma-turnover sa kanilang kustodiya ang nahuling droga.
