ℜ𝔭𝔭 Speaker Romualdez: Kongreso suportado isinusulong ni PBBM na maging investor-friendly ang PH

Tiniyak ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez sa mga negosyanteng Amerikano na suportado ng Kongreso ang mga inisyatiba at programa ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. upang mas maging investor-friendly ang Pilipinas.

“The 19th Congress, in partnership with President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., is committed to creating an environment that fosters economic growth and attracts investments,” ani Romualdez sa kanyang mensahe sa American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (AmCham).

“As Speaker of the House of Representatives, it is my duty to promote policies that enhance the growth and prosperity of our nation, and I believe that our partnership with the American business community is vital to achieving these goals,” sabi pa ni Speaker Romualdez.

Si Romualdez ang guest of honor at speaker ng AmCham para sa kanilang June General Membership Luncheon Meeting ngayong Miyerkoles sa Fairmont Hotel sa Makati City.

Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na ang magandang samahan ng Ehekutibo at Lehislatura ay nagresulta sa paglikha ng isang komprehensibong legislative agenda na nakatuon sa pag-unlad ng bansa.

“First and foremost, we aim to strengthen our infrastructure through the passage of landmark bills. Infrastructure development is a key driver of economic growth, and we are determined to address the gaps and bottlenecks that hinder our progress,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

Ayon sa lider ng Kamara, ang “Build Better More” program ng administrasyon ay sususugan ng Kongreso sa pamamagitan ng pagpasa ng mga panukala na makakapagpabilis sa pagproseso ng mga permit, pagpapalakas ng public-private partnership, at pagtiyak na mapopondohan ang mga proyekto.

Isusulong din umano ng Kongreso ang mga panukala na magpapalakas sa sektor ng edukasyon at kakayanan ng mga manggagawa upang manatiling competitive ang mga ito.

“To further support economic growth, we will prioritize the passage of measures that improve our business environment. We recognize the need for tax reforms that promote simplicity, fairness, and competitiveness,” dagdag pa ng lider ng Kamara.

“We will also work towards easing regulatory burdens and enhancing transparency to create a more business-friendly climate that attracts both local and foreign investors,” sabi pa nito.

Bibigyang prayoridad din umano ng Kongreso ang pagpapalawig ng paggamit ng kuryente mula sa mas malinis at renewable energy source bilang tugon din sa climate change.

Maging ang mga panukala para maging epektibo ang justice system ng bansa ay bibigyang pansin din umano ng Kongreso upang matugunan ang korupsyon, at maprotektahan ang karapatan at kalayaan ng bawat isa.

Binanggit din ni Speaker na naaprubahan na ng Kamara ang 33 sa 42 priority bills ng administrasyon, tatlo sa mga ito ay naisabatas na.

“Among the measures that both Houses approved was the Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF) bill, which seeks to create the country’s first-ever sovereign investment fund. This is designed to promote economic development by making strategic and profitable investments in key sectors including public road networks, tollways, green energy, water, agro-industrial ventures, and telecommunications,” dagdag pa ni Speaker Romualdez.

Ang MIF ay natapos na ang Kongreso at pirma na lamang ng Pangulo ang hinihintay upang maisabatas.

Sinabi ni Romualdez na naapektuhan ng pandemya ang ekonomiya ng bansa kaya kakailanganin ng mas agresibong mga hakbang upang lumaki ang kita ng bansa. (END) wantta join us? sure, manure...
