TINIYAK NI SPEAKER ANG MGA NEGOSYANTENG AMERIKANO, NA SUSUPORTAHAN NG KONGRESO ANG MGA INISYATIBA NI BBM NA GAWING INVESTOR-FRIENDLY ANG BANSA 

Tiniyak ngayong Miyerkules ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang mga negosyanteng Amerikano na solidong susuportahan ng Kongreso ang mga inisyatiba at mga programa ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. na gawing investor-friendly ang Pilipinas.

“The 19th Congress, in partnership with President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., is committed to creating an environment that fosters economic growth and attracts investments,” ito ang ipinahayag ni Romualdez sa kanyang mensahe sa mga miyembro ng American Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (AmCham).

“As Speaker of the House of Representatives, it is my duty to promote policies that enhance the growth and prosperity of our nation, and I believe that our partnership with the American business community is vital to achieving these goals,” dagdag niya.

Si Romualdez ang panauhing pandangal at tagapagsalita sa AmCham’s sa kanilang June General Membership Luncheon Meeting, Miyerkules ng hapon sa Fairmont Hotel sa Lungsod ng Makati.

Ayon kay Speaker Romualdez, ang partnership sa pagitan ng Ehekubo at Lehislatura na mga sangay ng pamahalaan ay nagresulta sa isang komprehensibong adyentda sa lehislasyon, na nakatuon sa mga pangunahing sektor na lubos na mahalaga sa kaunlaran ng bansa.

“First and foremost, we aim to strengthen our infrastructure through the passage of landmark bills. Infrastructure development is a key driver of economic growth, and we are determined to address the gaps and bottlenecks that hinder our progress,” aniya.

Binanggit niya na ang programang “Build Better More” ay nananatiling pangunahing pagsisikap ng pamahgalaan para sa kaunlaran, at sinabing isusulong ng Kapulungan ang lehislasyon na magpapagaan sa mga proseso ng pagbibigay ng permiso, magsusulong ng public-private partnerships, at magtitiyak ng pagpapatuloy sa pagpopondo sa mga proyektong pang-imprastraktura.

Sinabi niya rin na naninindigan ang Kapulungan na magpasa ng mga batas na magpapalakas sa edukasyon at mga sistema sa pagpapahusay ng kakayahan ng bansa, upang matiyak na ang mga manggagawa ay nananatiling makakakumpitensya at maihahanay sa mabilis na pag-inog ng pandaidigang ekonomiya.

“To further support economic growth, we will prioritize the passage of measures that improve our business environment. We recognize the need for tax reforms that promote simplicity, fairness, and competitiveness,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

“We will also work towards easing regulatory burdens and enhancing transparency to create a more business-friendly climate that attracts both local and foreign investors,” dagdag niya.

Bukod pa rito, sinabi niya na ipaprayoridad ng ang ika-19 Kongreso ang pagpapasa ng panukalang batas na nagsusulong ng pagpapatuloy na kaunlaran, at ang paglipat sa malinis at renewable energy sources upang tugunan ang mga hamon dala ng pagbabago ng klima.

Gayundin, sinabi niya na ang Kongreso “will work towards the passage of legislation that enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of our justice system, addresses corruption, and protects the rights and freedoms of our citizens.”

Ayon pa kay Romualdez, patuloy na magtatrabaho ang Kapulungan para maipasa ang mga mahahalagang lehislasyon, at kanyang binanggit na bago mag adjourn ang First Regular Session ng ika-19 na Kongreso ngayong buwan, ay inaprubahan ng Kapulungan ang 33 sa 42 prayoridad na panukala ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Marcos, at tatlo rito ay naisabatas.

“Among the measures that both Houses approved was the Maharlika Investment Fund bill, which seeks to create the country’s first-ever sovereign investment fund. This is designed to promote economic development by making strategic and profitable investments in key sectors including public road networks, tollways, green energy, water, agro-industrial ventures, and telecommunications,” banggit niya.

Ang panukala, na ngayon ay naghihintay ng lagda ni Pangulong Marcos ay inaasahang magiging pangunahing pagkukunan ng mga big-ticket infrastructure project ng administrasyon.

Ipinunto niya na ang pandemya at ang kasalukuyang kaguluhan sa ilang panig ng mundo ang nagpabligtad sa mga natamo sa ekonomiya ng bansa, at nagdulot ng hindi inaasahang pagkagambala sa sistemang pinansyal na nangangailangan ng mas agresibong pagtutuok sa pagpapalawig ng mapagkukunan ng buwis sa bansa. wantta join us? sure, manure...
