MAGKAKAROON TAYO NG BADYET BAGO MATAPOS ANG TAON - SPEAKER ROMUALDEZ

Tiniyak ni Speaker Martin G. Romualdez kahapon, Biyernes, kay Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. at sa sambayanan na, “we will have the Agenda for Prosperity national budget before the end of the year.”

Ipinahayag ng pinuno ng Kapulungan ang pagtitiyak habang pinagkakasundo ng Kamara de Representantes at Senado ang magkaibang bersyon ng panukalang P5.268-trilyon 2023 na gastusin ng pamahalaan, sa pamamagitan ng bicameral conference committee (bicam).

Pinangunahan nina Ako Bicol Party-list Rep. Elizaldy Co, na namumuno ng House Committee on Appropriations, at Sen. Sonny Angara, chairman ng Senate Committee on Finance, ang lupon ng bicam.

Ipinasa ng Kapulungan ang panukalang badyet para sa susunod na taon batay sa National Expenditure Program, ang bersyon ng planong paggasta ni Pangulong Marcos. Inaprubahan ng Senado ngayong linggo ang kanilang bersyon.

Ayon kay Romualdez, may sapat na panahon ang dalawang Kapulungan, upang maisapinal ang bersyon ng badyet bago sila mag recess para sa Kapaskuhan sa ika-17 ng Disyembre.

“We have sufficient time, we will finally approve the budget before yearend. It is the most important tool in accomplishing the objectives of the President’s Agenda for Prosperity and his eight-point socio-economic development plan,” ani Romualdez.

“With this budget, which is the first full-year spending measure proposed by the President, we hope to sustain or even accelerate our economic growth, which should benefit all of our people,” ayon sa Speaker.

Ipinunto niya na ang mga datos sa unang ikatlong bahagi ng the taon, “is very encouraging.”

“With economic expansion figures averaging 7.7 percent, we are on track to achieving the administration’s growth target for this year of 6.5 percent to 7.5 percent,” giit ni Romualdez.
