Kamara buo ang suporta sa pagsasakatuparan ng mga inisyatiba ni PBBM para mapabuti kalagayan ng mga Pinoy

Tiniyak ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang buong suporta ng Kamara de Representantes sa mga inisyatiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. upang maging premiyadong destinasyon para sa pamumuhunan ang Pilipinas.

Kasabay ito ng pagsaksi ni Speaker Romualdez sa pagharap ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa Philippine Business Forum nitong Miyekrules ng umaga sa Berkshire Hall ng Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club sa Bandar Seri Begawan. 

Binigyang halaga nito ang pagkakaroon ng matatag na ugnayang pang-ekonomiya ng bansa sa Brunei dahil sa potensyal na pagpasok ng mas maraming foreign investment na magreresulta sa pag-unlad at paglago ng ekonomiya ng bansa. 

"President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has made significant strides during his state visit here in Brunei to showcase the Philippines as an attractive destination for investments," sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

"The House of Representatives is fully committed to supporting these efforts, recognizing the vital role that foreign investment plays in our nation's progress," dagdag pa niya.

Sa talumpati ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa naturang forum, tinukoy nito ang malaking potensyal at benepisyo ng ugnayan ng Pilipinas at Brunei sa sektor ng agribusiness, renewable energy, at pagpapalago ng Halal industry. 

Ibinahagi ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa mga lider ng mga negosyo sa Brunei ang mga repormang ipinatupad ng Pilipinas gaya ng liberalisasyon ng foreign ownership sa ilang sektor sa pamamagitan ng Retail Trade Liberalization Act, Foreign Investments Act, Public Services Act, Renewable Energy Act, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Code of the Philippines, Internet Transactions Act at ang Tatak Pinoy Act o “Proudly Filipino” Act. 

Ibinida rin nito ang CREATE MORE (Maximize Opportunities for Reinvigorating the Economy) Bill, na pinagtibay ng Kamara sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa noong Marso na layong ayusin ang ibinibigay na fiscal at non-fiscal incentives sa mga mamumuhunan sa mga istratehiko at prayoridad na mga sektor gayundin ang pagtatatag ng Maharlika Investment Fund at ang paglagda sa Executive Order No. 18, o pagkakaroon ng green lanes para sa strategic investments.

"The House of Representatives stands ready to collaborate with the executive branch and private sector stakeholders to implement measures that support the President's vision. By enhancing the country's investment landscape, the government aims to drive economic progress, create jobs, and improve the quality of life for all Filipinos,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

Binigyang importansya rin nito ang relasyong bilateral ng Pilipinas at Brunei kung saan makikinabang ang ekonomiya ng dalawang bansa. 

"We are confident that with the President's leadership and the collective effort of the government, the Philippines will achieve sustained economic growth and become a leading investment destination in the region," sabi pa ni Speaker Romualdez.

Tinuran pa ng House leader ang pagiging bukas ng mga business leader ng dalawang bansa kasabay ng paglagda sa Memorandum of Understanding ng ASEAN Business Advisory Council – Philippines and Brunei, at ng  National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Brunei Darussalam (NCCI) at e  Philippine  Chamber of  Commerce and Industry (PCCI), na iniharap kay Pangulong Marcos Jr. 

Sinegundahan din ni Speaker Romualdez ang sentimyento ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. na palakasin ang ugnayan at kolaborasyon ng Pilipinas at Brunei at iba pang karatig bansa gaya ng Indonesia at Malaysia para sabay-sabay na naging masagana at umulad at maisulong ang kapayapaan sa rehiyon. (END)
