Sa pagdiriwang ng National Flag Day alalahanin mga lumaban para sa kalayaan ng bansa—Speaker Romualdez

Sa pagdiriwang ng National Flag Day ngayong araw, May 28, hinimok ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang mga Pilipino na alalahanin ang mga Pilipino na nagbuwis ng buhay para sa kalayaan ng bansa.

“As we celebrate National Flag Day, we are reminded of the deep sense of pride and patriotism that our flag embodies. More than just a symbol, the Philippine flag is a reflection of our history, our struggles, and our triumph,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

“As we stand beneath the red, white, blue, and yellow, let us remember the countless Filipinos who fought for our freedom and sovereignty. They sacrificed their lives so that we could enjoy the peace and liberty we have today. Their spirit lives on in each of us, and it is our duty to honor their legacy by upholding the values they stood for,” sabi pa ng lider ng Kamara.

Hinamon din ni Speaker Romualdez na huwag matakot na harapin ang mga dumarating na hamon at puwersa mula sa labas ng bansa.

“In these times, when we face challenges and pressures from outside forces, let us not be daunted. The world may be vast and sometimes overwhelming, but our spirit as Filipinos is unbreakable. We may encounter bullying or intimidation from foreign nations, but let us stand tall and wave our flag with pride. Let it be known that the Filipino spirit is resilient and resolute,” wika pa nito.

Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez na ang watawat ang simbolo ng soberanya at pagkakaisa.

“It is a reminder that we are a nation capable of greatness. Let us come together, shoulder to shoulder, and face any adversity with the same bravery our ancestors showed. By standing firm and united, we can overcome any challenge that comes our way,” sabi pa nito.

Sa pagdiriwang ng National Flag Day, hinimok ni Speaker Romualdez ang bawat Pilipino na pagnilayan ang kinakatawan ng watawat at ipakita ang pagmamahal sa bansa.

“On this National Flag Day, I urge every Filipino to take a moment to reflect on what our flag represents. Let us renew our commitment to our nation, to our values, and to each other. Let us teach our children the importance of love for country and the significance of our flag,” saad pa nito.

“Wave your flags high, with hearts full of pride. Let the colors of our flag inspire hope and strength for all. Together, let us build a future where our nation is respected and admired, not just for its beauty, but for the strength and unity of its people,” dagdag pa ng lider ng Kamara. (END)

Hinimok ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez ang mga Pilipino na matapang na ipagmalaki at iwagayway ang watawat ng Pilipinas sa harap ng nararanasang pambu-bully at pananakot.

Sa kanyang mensahe sa paggunita ng National Flag Day, sinabi ni Romualdez na hindi dapat magpatinag sa kabila ng mga hamon at panggigipit mula sa “outside forces”.

Ang watawat ay simbolo aniya ng soberanya at pagkakaisa at anumang maranasang pambu-bully mula sa mga dayuhan ay dapat na manindigan at ibandera ang watawat nang may dangal.

Paliwanag ng Speaker, paalala ito na may kakayahan ang bansa sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagpapakita ng tapang tulad ng mga ninuno.

Nanawagan din ito sa mamamayan na panibaguhin ang commitment sa bansa at ituro sa mga kabataan ang kahalagahan ng pag-ibig sa bayan at ang watawat.

Dagdag pa ni Romualdez, maliban sa simbolo ay sumasalamin din ang watawat ng Pilipinas sa kasaysayan, paghihirap at tagumpay kaya marapat na alalahanin ang di mabilang na mga Pilipinong lumaban para sa kalayaan at soberanya.
