ARB BURA-UTANG

Inaprubahan ng House Committee on Agrarian Reform ang substitute bill para sa panukala na layong burahin ang pagkakautang ng nasa 654,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARB) sa amortization at interest ng kanilang lupain sa ilalim ng Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.

Pagbibigay diin ni Ifugao Rep. Solomon Chungalao, chair ng Komite, mahalagang mapagtibay ang panukala na isa sa mga nabanggit na priority legislation ng Pang. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr sa kanyang State of the Nation Address na kinatigan din ng LEDAC.

“The LEDAC identified this as one of the chief bills that the leadership of both chambers of Congress have outlined with the high chance of approving before the end of the year. Given the timeline I call for your support and together with a firm resolve to move this vital measure towards its enactment.” Saad ni Chungalao.

Nangako naman si House Ways and Means Committee Chair Joey Salceda na mabilis aaprubahan ng kanyang komite ang tax provision ng panukala patungkol sa estate tax amnesty.

Inaasahan aniya niya na Lunes o Martes sa susunod na linggo ay matatalakay na nila ito upang agad ding mai-akyat sa plenaryo lalo at nais aniya ng Pang. Marcos Jr. na maisabatas ito bago matapos ang taon.

“As chairman of the committee on Ways and Means we will definitely schedule the approval of this section (Section 8) once it is referred to us. And I think I will take cognizance once it is approved here that we will discuss it either Monday or Tuesday.” ani Salceda.

Nasa P58 billion ang tinatayang mawawala sa gobyerno oras na mapagtibay ang panukala.

Nitong nakaraang Setyembre, una nang inilabas ng pangulo ang Executive Order No. 4 para sa isang taong moratorium ng pagbabayad sa utang ng ARBs.
