MATAPOS ANG 7.6-PORSYENTONG PAGLAGO, SINABI NI SPEAKER NA MAY DARATING PANG MAS MAGANDA SA HINAHARAP

Nanawagan ngayong Martes ng hapon si Speaker Martin G. Romualdez para sa nagkakaisang suporta sa planong kaunlaran sa ekonomiya at ang Agenda for Prosperity mantra ng administrasyong Marcos, at sinabing nagsisimula nang maramdaman ang magandang resulta nito.

 

“The President has an Agenda for Prosperity. This agenda has as its core mission the country’s economic transformation towards inclusivity and sustainability. This mission includes the development of BARMM (Bangsa Moro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao),” ayon kay Romualdez sa Bangsamoro Parliament Forum na ginanap sa Sofitel Hotel sa Lungsod ng Pasay.

 

Sa ipinahayag na 7.6 gross domestic production growth noong nakaraang linggo, sinabi ni Speaker na, “Wala pong duda. Kaya nating lahat bumangon kung sama-sama. The best is yet to come, if we come together and work hard together. Para sa bayan. Para sa kinabukasan.”

 

Tinukoy ng pinuno ng Kapulungan ang Medium-Term Fiscal Framework (MTFF) ng administrasyong Marcos, at ang kanyang 8-point socio-economic agenda para sa pagpapalawig ng ekonomiya, na ayon sa kanya ay ikinagulat ng mga manunuri.

 

“It is with this solid economic plan that the Philippines is not only surviving but thriving in spite of the external or global economic challenges. Globally, the economic outlook is gloomy, following the Covid-19 pandemic, the Russia-Ukraine war, stubbornly high inflation, and an abrupt slowdown in global growth from 6 percent in 2021 to 3.2 percent in 2022,” aniya.

 

Laban man sa maraming pagsubok, ay lumago ang ekonomiya ng bansa nang 7.6 porsyento sa ikatlong bahagi ng taon, na mas mabilis sa 7.5 na paglago sa ikalawang bahagi ng taon, at ang 7 porsyentong paglago sa ikatlong bahagi ng 2021.

 

Binanggit niya ang mga nakaraang ulat na nagsasabing ang Pilipinas ay pangalawa ngayon sa mga bansa sa Timog-Silangang Asya na mabilis ang paglago ng ekonomiya, na naungusan lamang ng Vietnam.

 

Idinagdag niya na kinumpirma ng National Economic and Development Authority na ang lahat ng sektor ay nagsustini ng paglago: ang services sector ay lumago ng 9.1 porsyento; ang industriya ay nagtala ng 5.8 porsyentong paglago, maging ang sektor ng agrikultura ay lumago ng 2.2 porsyento, mula sa 1.7 porsyentong pagbaba sa parehong panahon noong nakaraang taon.

 

“As the President said in his first State of the Nation Address, the state of the nation is sound. Without a doubt, this is because of the Agenda for Prosperity, the sound economic plan of our President and economic managers” giit ni Romualdez.

 

Binanggit niya na ang MTFF at ang 8-point socio-economic agenda ay nasa wastong landas, upang makamit ang layunin nito.

 

“Given the 7.7 percent growth rate for the first three quarters of the year, the economy now only needs to grow by 3.3 to 6.9 percent this fourth quarter of 2022 to meet this year’s target. That is why we lawmakers must support the Agenda for Prosperity with the necessary legislative measures,” aniya.

 

Nanawagan si Speaker sa Kongreso at sa Bangsamoro Parliament pagtuunan ang lehislasyon na magsusustini sa paglago ng ekonomiya ng bansa.

 

Sa bahagi ng Kapulungan, binigyang-diin ni Romualdez na ipinasa na sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa ang panukalang P5.268-trilyon 2023 pambansang badyet, na naglalaan ng P74.4-bilyon para sa Bangsamoro autonomous region.

 

Sinabi niya na ang badyet, “was carefully crafted under the able leadership of Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, the first Muslim budget secretary and the only Muslim in the Cabinet.”

 

Sinabi niya na ang Kapulungan ay nakatutok sa pagsasa prayoridad ng mga panukala na susuporta sa MTFF at 8-point socio-economic agenda, sapagkat ang mga mambabatas ay nakikiisa sa Pangulo, “in the mission to steer the economy back to its high-growth path in the near term and sustain inclusive and resilient growth through to 2028.”

 

Hinimok ni Romualdez ang Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) na pagtibayin o ilinya sa MTFF, dahil nakalatag rito ang direksyon sa komprehensibong polisiya para sa bansa, kabilang na ang BARMM, sa parehong madalian at medium term.

 

“For the first time, the country has a clear 6-year agenda with clearly defined goals,” aniya.

 

Tiniyak niya sa mga opisyal ng BTA ang ganap na suporta mula sa Kapulungan, “in passing all crucial laws that will secure the welfare of the people of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.”

 

“This is our commitment to the Bangsamoro people and our response to the call of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. for unity and development,” giit niya.
