PANUKALA NA ISINASAMA ANG KINATAWAN NG MGA BARANGAY HEALTH WORKERS SA MGA LOKAL NA HEALTH BOARDS, APRUBADO NG KAPULUNGAN

Aprubado ngayong Martes sa Kapulungan ng mga Kinatawan ang isang panukala na magpapalakas sa mga lokal na health boards ng bawat lalawigan, lungsod at / o munisipiyo, sa pamamagitan ng pagsama ng mga halal na pangulo ng Provincial Federation of Barangay Health Workers bilang miyembro.

Ang House Bill (HB) No. 7447 ay inihain ni Quezon 1st District Rep. Wilfrido Mark M. Enverga, chairman ng Komite ng Agrikultura at Pagkain, ay inaprubahan sa ikatlo at huling pagbasa sa malakas na botong 238. 

“The proposed law seeks to amend Section 102 (a) (1) (2) (3) and (b) (1) of Republic Act No. 7160, as amended, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991,” ayon kay Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, pinuno ng 311-miyembro ng Kapulungan ng mga Kinatawan. “With this bill, we aim to strengthen local health boards by ensuring the representation of barangay health workers whom we continue to recognize as essential front liners in health promotion and advocacy.”

“Without the tireless dedication and selfless service of our barangay health workers, the government’s fight against many diseases, and the pandemic for instance, will not be successful,” Enverga for his part said. “Hence, it is just appropriate that they become part of local health boards that serve as an advisory committee to the sanggunian concerned on health matters such as budget for public health purposes.”

Isinasaad rin sa HB 7447 na karagdagang tungkulin ng mga lokal na health boards na magmungkahi ng mga insentibo o mga benepisyo para sa mga barangay health workers, at mga rekomendasyon sa iba pang mga usapin na nangangailangan ng gastos ng mga lokal na pondo sa usapin ng kalusugan. # wantta join us? sure, manure...
