Matagumpay na pag-host ng PH sa FIBA World Cup 2023 hangad ni Speaker Romualdez

Kasabay ng kanyang pagbibigay ng todong suporta, ipinahayag ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang kanyang hangad para sa matagumpay na pag-host ng Pilipinas ng FIBA World Cup 2023, isang mahalagang okasyon na pupukaw sa atensyon ng mga mahilig sa basketball.

Sinabi ni Speaker Romualdez, lider ng 311 miyembro ng Kamara, na malaki ang kanyang paniniwala na ang Pilipinas, na kilala sa pagmamahal nito sa basketball, ay magniningning hindi lamang sa ipakikita nitong kahusayan sa pagsasaayos ng kompetisyon kundi maging sa mayamang kultura nito ng basketball.

“It is a moment of pride that Manila will be at the epicenter of this grand tournament, hosting the medal rounds and offering a stage for basketball giants from all over the globe,” ani Speaker Romualdez.

“We have eagerly awaited this opportunity for years, and now the time has come for us to share our enthusiasm with the world. We are not just hosting a sporting event; we are inviting all to experience a piece of our culture, our joy, our unity, and our pride,” dagdag pa ng lider ng Kamara.

Kasama ng Pilipinas bilang co-host ng kompetisyon ang Indonesia at Japan.

Ipinarating ni Speaker Romualdez ang kanyang pasasalamat at pagbati sa mga manlalaro na lalahok sa kompetisyon kasama ang 12 miyembro ng Gilas Pilipinas.

Whether you are competing in your initial rounds in Manila, Jakarta, or Okinawa, rest assured that the energy, spirit, and passion for the game resonate just as strongly across all venues,” sabi ni Speaker Romualdez.

"As we draw closer to the climax of this tournament, we anticipate a crescendo of emotions, remarkable talent on display, and an exhibition of basketball artistry, all culminating on September 10th in Manila," dagdag pa ni Speaker Romualdez, kinatawan ng unang distrito ng Leyte.

Umaasa rin si Speaker Romualdez na ang kompetisyon ay magsisilbing natatanging oportunidad upang lumikha ng mga hindi malilimutang ala-ala, saksi sa natatanging mga laro, at magpapalakas sa pakikipagkaibigan ng mga tao mula sa iba’t ibang lugar.
