Pagdinig sa resolusyon kaugnay ng panawagan na makipagtulungan ang gobyerno sa ICC bahagi ng proseso ng Kamara

Bahagi umano ng proseso ng Kamara de Representantes ang pagdinig sa inihaing resolusyon ng mga miyembro nito.

Ito ang sinabi ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez matapos matanong kung binibigyan ng prayoridad ng Kamara ang pagdinig sa resolusyon na nananawagan sa gobyerno na makipagtulungan ito sa isinasagawang pagdinig ng International Criminal Court (ICC) kaugnay ng madugong war on drugs campaign ng Duterte administration.

"Well as they say, this is what you call, this is the sense of the House of Representatives," ani Romualdez sa press conference sa pagsimula ng 31st Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF) na ginanap sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) sa Pasay City. 

Sinabi ni Romualdez na ang pagbasa at pagdinig sa naturang resolusyon ay katulad din ng pinagdaraanan ng iba pang resolusyon at panukala

"There [is a] succession of resolution[s] that are being filed and of course as a matter of course, we have to read out these bills or resolutions and we have to act on the same. And we have to be sensitive and responsive to the, mga hinaing po ng ating mga kongresista,” punto ni Romualdez.

"And so we have to look at it. One at a time. And within the [tall] context of the current events. That’s where we leave it," dagdag pa nito.

Para sa Kamara, sinabi ni Romualdez na ito ay bahagi lamang ng proseso bagamat maaaring bigyan ng ibang kahulugan ng iba.

"We don't read much more into it than what other people do, but nonetheless they are still entitled to their own views and even speculations, but we leave it to that," wika pa ni Romualdez. 

Ang pagdinig ng isang resolusyon ay hindi rin umano nangangahulugan na aaprubahan na ito ng plenaryo dahil kailangan pa itong pagbotohan ng mga miyembro.

"We just do it as a matter of course and come what may that, whatever outcome will be, we will call the sense of the House of Representatives on whatever it decides by manner of vote," paliwanag ng lider ng Kamara. 

Noong Miyerkoles ay sinimulang dinggin ng House Committees on Human Rights at on Justice ang resolusyon na inihain ng Makabayan bloc at nina Manila Rep. Bienvenido Abante at 1-Rider party-list Rep. Rodge Gutierrez.

Ang House Resolution 1393 ng Makabayan ay inihain noon pang Oktobre 17. Ang resolusyon naman ni Abante ay noong Nobyembre 20.
