HOUSE CONSTI AMENDMENTS CHAIR RUFUS RODRIGUEZ, HANDANG MAKIPAG-PULONG SA KANYANG SENATE COUNTERPART NA SI SENATOR ROBINHOOD PADILLA

Handang makipag-pulong at bukas ang linya ng komunikasyon ni House Committee on Constitutional Amendments Chair Rufus Rodriguez kay Sen Robinhood Padilla.

Nais ni Rodrigues na ang maging meeting ay upang maplantsa at mapagkasunduan ang pamamaraan ng pag-amyenda sa Konstitusyon.

Isinusulong sa Kamara ang Constitutional Convention habang si Padilla ay Constituent Assembly naman ang nais.

Nothing is impossible, to be able to talk to our counterparts and I’m sure we are going to reach a consensus on the Constitutional Convention mode.” ani Rodriguez.]

Sinabi ni Rodriguez na siya ay naniniwala pa rin na mas mainam ang Con-con kumpara sa Con-Ass.

Magmumukang ‘self-serving’ umano at pinoprotektahan lamang ng mga mambabatas ang kanilang interes kung Con-Ass ang gagawin.

Ngunit positibo naman si Rodriguez na madadaan ito sa maayos na pag-uusap at pagpapaliwanagan.

Nitong Miyerkules, pormal na tinalakay ng Kamara ang House Bill 7352 o panukala na siyang magpapatupad sa Resolution of Both Houses no. 6 na nagpapatawag ng Con-con para amyendahan o rebisahin ang 1987 Constitution.
