HINIMOK NI SPEAKER ROMUALDEZ ANG RPOC-8 NA ITAGUYOD ANG MAS LIGTAS AT MAUNLAD NA EASTER VISAYAS

Hinimok ni Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez ang mga miyembro ng Regional Peace and Order Council ng Region 8 (RPOC-8) na itaguyod ang mas ligtas at mas maunlad na Eastern Visayas sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagbuo ng desisyon.

Sa kanyang pagsasalita sa ikatlong Quarterly Meeting ng RPOC-8, iginiit ni Speaker Romualdez ang kahalagahan ng konseho sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan sa rehiyon.

Ang naturang pagpupulong ay naglalahad, ayon pa kay Speaker Romualdez, ng kanilang shared commitment  na matugunan ang mga mahahalagang concerns ng rehiyon, magmula sa estado ng kriminalidad at peace and order hanggang sa isyu ng mga hamon ng drug-related na mga krimen at insurhensiya at ang mga isyung ito ay hindi lamang sa Region 8 kundi nararamdaman din sa buong bansa.

Pinapurihan ng lider ng Kamara sina Gen Vincent Calanoga, Regional Dir Edgar Jubay at Gen Camilo Ligayo dahil sa kanilang pagbibigay ng mga insights at updates na sya namang magsisilbeng gabay sa mga maging estratehiya at mga desisyon.

Sinabi rin ng kinatawan mula sa Tacloban City na bilang mga lider, ang kanilang mga pag-uusap at estratehiyang napagkasunduan ay mayroong implikasyon sa publiko.

Ang RPOC ay nagsisilbing plataporma ng gobyerno para mapagtibay ang ugnayan ng mga lokal na pamahalaan, mga ahensyang may kaugnayan sa pagpapatupad ng batas, at komunidad sa paglaban sa kriminalidad, ipinagbabawal na gamot, paglaban sa gobyerno at karahasan.

Ito ay binubuo ng mga gubernador, alkalde ng mga highly urbanized city, mga pangulo ng Leagues of Municipalities, isang kinatawan ng mga mayor ng CC, mga regional counterpart ng mga departamento, tanggapan, at ahensya kasama ang NPOC, kumander ng AFP Infantry Division, at tatlong accredited CSO.
