DEKLARASYONG PAGBABALIK FACE TO FACE SESSION NG KAMARA, HINIHINTAY NG HOUSE SEC-GEN

Inaantabayanan na lang ng Kamara ang pag-alis ng Office of the President at Department of Health sa public health emergency para tuluyang makapagbalik face to face ito.


Sinabi ni House Sec. Gen Reginald Velasco na sa oras na i-lift ang emergency status ay magiging mandatory na ang personal na pagdalo sa mga pag-dinig sa komite at sesyon.


Katunayan, may ilan na aniyang komite na mas maliit lang ang bilang ng miyembro ang nagsimula na sa face to face committee hearings.


“Hopefully when the time comes, wika ni Velasco, when the pandemic is over, officially declared by the Office of the President and the Department of Health agrees with it, then Congress will abide by that. We will lift also the pandemic emergency here, that means face to face will be back, hopefully by the start of August.” dagdag pa ng House Sec. Gen.


Sa kasagsagan ng COVID-19 pandemic noong 2020 ay pinahintulutan ng Kamara ang hybrid set-up kung saan maaaring dumalo ang mga mambabatas via tele o video conferencing sa committee hearings at plenary sessions bilang pagtalima sa health protocols.


Sa ngayon ayon kay Velasco, mananatili ang hybrid set-up, kahit pa sa araw ng pagbubukas ng 2nd regular session at State of the Nation Address sa July 24.
