SUPPLICATION
God Almighty, we believe that You have prepared a place for our Brother Dan in heaven and that he is now reunited with You and all the holy angels and saints.
Lord, we trust in Your mercy for all Your children, and we know that you are a God of compassion and forgiveness. We ask that You forgive our Brother Dan’s sins of omission and commission and grant him eternal life in Your kingdom.
We ask you Lord for us to hold onto those happy, unforgettable memories of Brother Dan’s life as a source of comfort and joy. We commend him to your mercy that You will show him the fullness of joy in Your presence through all eternity.
Lord God, we ask for Your comfort upon every Brother Dan’s family member, upon every friend, upon every brother and sister in community.
As the bereaved family adjust to their daily lives without our Brother Dan, we ask that Your Spirit will be their constant companion, assuring them of Your love and care. Fill their longing and emptiness with Your overwhelming love. Help them to stay united and work together as they navigate the challenges of loss. Let them rest in Your faithful care, and grant them the strength and peace to bear their burdens and face the days ahead.
Likewise, let Your presence be known to each one of us here present tonight who are grieving for Brother Dan’s passing. Be with us each and every day. Allow us to feel Your loving and strong presence in our hearts. Grant us the grace to support one another and find hope in Your promise of eternal life.
Lord, show us ways that we can bless others. Help us to see Your blessings around us in the simple, small things that bring us joy and peace each day.
And as we conclude tonight’s activity, we ask You Lord for consolation and strength during this difficult time. May our faith in You sustain us through this time of grief. May we find solace in the hope of the resurrection and the promise of eternal life with You. Help us to remember that death is not the end but a new beginning and that You also have prepared a place for us in Your heavenly kingdom.
We ask this in the Mighty Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior and, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary. Amen… Glory be to the Father and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning and ever shall be World without end, Amen
